Received a press sample of the Ashieda Skin Renewal Mask in October and I wanted to share my thoughts on it, as I don't do many skin product reviews on this blog, but the older I get the more I'm looking for beauty products to help improve brightness, moisture, fine lines and uneven skin tone. I most always turn down skincare regime opportunities that are a four to six week, daily trial, but I absolutely love trying out new exfoliants, scrubs, masks, moisturizers and spa services. So when Ashieda contacted me about trying out there face mask I immediately was interested. I've never done a cloth mask before and after applying the mask it most definitely looked a bit scary or ridiculous (not sure which) but it did stay in place the whole hour sitting on my face, while I worked on the computer.

The mask has cut-outs for the eyes and nose and fit my face better than I thought it would. The only section I had trouble laying flat was my chin. I tried to tuck the overlaps over and under, but neither fold seemed to keep it down completely flat. When you first open the package it is nicely folded up and the instructions state to put the cellulose side on your face. I originally thought, what the hell is that? But after un-folding the mask the cellulose side is noticeably gooier than the other side.

The first thing I thought when I applied the mask to my face was, ohhh that's cold! It definitely has a coldness at first but quickly warms up to a comfortable temperature. At 25 minutes it was beginning to dry in the chin spots that were sticking out but other than that the rest of the mask was still wet. I sat and worked on the computer like normal. The only odd thing was trying to take a sip of my tea was a bit of a struggle but easily solved with a straw. After 60 minutes I removed the face mask and rubbed in the leftover product into my face.  I love that the mask doesn't have to be washed off...so easy!

My face felt wet to the touch from being so moisturized for about the following 30 minutes and after it absorbed in my face was left feeling soft and looked refreshed. The next following 3 days my face had a plump, moisturized glow that I hadn't had since I received one of my favorite spa treatments, the Intraceuticals Oxygen Treatment. The Ashieda glow wasn't as intense and didn't last as long as the Intraceuticals glow, but for $9.99 for 4 days verses $180.00 for 7 days, I think the 4 day glow is a steal and a great product to stock up on for ladies on the budget beauty plan! (like me!)  Overall, I'm very impressed with the Ashieda Skin Renewal Mask, as I didn't know what to expect from the mask but I could definitely see a difference in my skin and I can't wait to get my hands on more!
