Through blogging for the past two years I have made several friendships with PR Reps at particular companies. Last year I had the pleasure of working with Kristie whom was working with a different company at the time. Kristie has since started working with Toppik and got in touch with me about doing a review. I explained that I didn't have a need for this product but I did indeed have a friend that I tease and tell him his thinning spot, "looks like a bird stepped on his head!" So I asked my friend if he would be interested in trying out this product. At first he was reluctant but he's a great friend and agreed to test it out for me since I could do a blog post on it.
I wish I had recorded his initial reaction when first seeing the finished product. Obviously he didn't think it was going to work and was in complete excitement immediately. He went home that night and started researching to find out how much it was and shipping time so that he wouldn't ever run out. I've known him for over ten years and I have to say the moment he saw the "after" is in the top five moments of most excited I've ever seen him. The Toppik Hair Fibers are tiny and come out of the Spray Applicator like a fine mist, except it's a dry mist. The Hair Fibers are made of natural Keratin Fibers that are magnetized with static energy to instantly intertwine with your own thin hair. The Spray Applicator makes the Hair Fibers easy and quick to apply in specific targeted areas. The Hair Fiber container has a sifter pattern on the top so you can shake the bottle for application but I prefer the Spray Applicator as it's more controlled. I also noticed that when using the Spray Applicator long strokes work better than short puffs as you can move and cover more area of the scalp verses puffing little spots. The Hair Fibers come in nine different shades to match most all hair colors.
Toppik - FiberHold Spray

The FiberHold Spray is sprayed onto your hair after you have applied the Hair Fibers to help the fibers adhere to your hair. To me, being a girl, it's a super hold hairspray but doesn't have a perfume smell though it is strong and can choke you up if you spray too much. The spray is a fine mist and it only takes a few squirts to keep the fibers in place. *Do make note, that if you have a sensitive scalp the FiberHold Spray is alcohol-based.
Toppik - The Hairline Optimizer

The Hairline Optimizer helps create the most natural-looking front hairline, framing the face perfectly on top and in the temple areas. Its irregular teeth make the Hair Fibers disperse only where they should, mimicking a natural hairline. I didn't test out this product but I imagine by the shape it would be much easier to create a hairline using this stencil verses trying to create it manually.
Toppik - Hair Fattener

Toppik Hair Fattener is a concentrated leave-in treatment for thin or fine hair, adding volume, shine and thickness. The gel is an unique blend of Keratin proteins and nutrients that nourish and infuse the hair shaft for healthy and strong hair. The gel is a thin consistency but most definitely adds volume and combined with the Hair Fibers gives hair a dense, full appearance.
All in all, my friend absolutely loves Toppik. His words, "It's fantastic!" I asked if he had any cons and he only had two. The first being that the fibers will get on the countertop while applying but at the same time don't leave any residue when washing hair in the shower. The second con was laying on a light surface, such as a dental chair or white pillow for hours will leave a fiber dusting behind. Not sure if he just needs to spray more FiberHold Spray or if it's just part of using the product. Either way, Toppik is still a great product that builds confidence and self-esteem for anyone concerned with their fine, thin or thinning hair. It's a quick and easy fix without expensive hair treatments or medical procedures.
