Beauty Blogger Product Review
An Egyptian Magic is what initially sold me on my first Beauty Army box. I've been wanting to try Egyptian Magic Skin Cream for the longest time but it did not live up to my expectations. I'm not sure if the sample was so small that I didn't fully get to experience it's capabilities but I smoothed the cream on my legs which was barely enough to cover both legs entirely. My initial thoughts of the texture reminded me of Carmex lip balm. I think I was expecting some kind of cream or lotion and was surprised by the thick, oily consistency. After smoothing it in, it did leave my skin feeling greasy and it did not absorb into my skin very quickly. The next morning I didn't notice any dramatic difference in my legs until the evening when they started itching from being dry.
Based on my sample I would not purchase the full size of this product. For me it's too greasy and did not live up to the hype I've read about. Supposedly it's good for people with acne too, but honestly I'd be afraid to use on acne prone skin as I would think the greasiness of it would just make you have more breakouts. I would guess though this product would be great for anyone with eczema or scars. Personally I'll just stick to Vaseline or baby oil if my skin gets excessively dry and it's much, much cheaper. For a 4 ounce jar of Egyptian Magic it will cost you $37.00.
Product ingredients:
Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream ingredients: Olive Oil, Bees Wax, Honey Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Bee Propolis.
