Dull skin can be so frustrating! When I lose the glow of my skin, I often have no idea how to regain what everyone seems to want. It is difficult because all companies promise certain things, and many beauty products make big claims, but you never really know if they actually deliver until you try them yourself.
Luckily, there are several ways that you can help give a nice glow to your skin right at home. By creating some fun masks and facial scrubs, I was able to really improve the look of my complexion, and believe meóothers started to notice! Here, I'll share some tips with you that I personally enjoy so that you, too, can get back your glow:
1) Refill, and refill again
You know those cute water bottles that everyone always carries around? Well, the truth is, having a water bottle with you encourages you to drink more water. Just be sure to keep it refilled constantly. Drinking water flushes out the toxins in your skin naturally! People often underestimate the amount of water you need, but I say, the more, the better.
Squeeze a lemon in for some additional flavor.

2) Exfoliate
Exfoliating the skin on your face should definitely be on your weekly to-do list not to mention it feels like a momentary spa trip in the middle of a busy week. You can even make some facial scrubs right at home!
One of the simplest recipes I like to use for a homemade scrub only requires sugar, coconut oil, and some drops of my favorite essential oils, or just lemon juice. Mix them together so that it forms a paste, and scrub it gently into your skin. You will instantly feel a glow reenter your skin!
3) Get some exercise
While it may not always feel like you want to get out there and go running, it will do wonders for your skin. Exercising creates a natural flush to your cheeks. Like drinking water, it also flushes out your skin, ridding it of toxins and cleanses your pores.
I love how I feel after exercising! I find that if I can just think of the after effects, getting that motivation to exercise becomes a lot easier.
4) Choose antioxidants
By changing up your diet in small ways, it can do big things for your skin. Stock your grocery cart with blueberries, spinach and sweet potatoes. The vitamins in these foods will protect your skin from the harsh environmental factors outside.
Finding new ways to incorporate foods with antioxidants into my meals becomes a fun challenge. The more I mix it up, the less bored I get with eating healthy!
5) Your secret weapon
Sometimes, you just need an extra boost in the morning. That is where your radiance boosting makeup comes in. This can be just be between you and your mirror and one else needs to know the difference! Bronzers and skin illuminators are so great for this. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse away all of your makeup before you go to sleep with a makeup remover to prevent clogged pores, which can lead to oily skin and breakouts.
There are so many more tips and resources available for getting a healthy glow to your skin. Keep your eyes open, people love sharing the things that they learn, and you can totally benefit from others.
