Cover-up goes incognito. This moisturizing crease-control concealer with vitamin E and apple seed extract hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultranatural look. Available in three shades, it’s proven to keep skin hydrated for six hours and won’t cake, crease, or settle.

Fake Up concealer from Benefit Cosmetics comes in three shades 01. Light, 02 Medium, and 03 Dark. The packaging is absolutely adorable as it comes in a hexagon box with a silver tube similar to a lipstick container containing the concealer. The concealer is in the middle of the product stick surrounded by a moisturizing solid serum containing Vitamin E and apple seed extract. It is available for purchase from the Benefit Cosmetics website or Sephora for $24.00 plus shipping.
Benefit Cosmetics - "Fake Up"

Based on my years of obsession with Benefit Cosmetics I had to go grab their newest concealer, Fake Up when it became available at the end of March. Currently I use Boi-ing everyday and absolutely could not do without it, so I was ecstatic to try Benefit Cosmetics newest concealer with the hopes that it would be even better. Much to my disappointment it did not live up to the stature of the Boi-ing concealer. I've been testing it on and off for the past few months, but I always end up back with the Boi-ing.
Fake Up is much more hydrating but a lot less coverage than Boi-ing. It is build-able to an extent but it becomes harder to blend in the more you apply due to the hydration serum. The biggest different I noticed between Boi-ing and Fake Up is the final finish. Fake Up leaves more of a glossy look whereas Boi-ing is much more matte. I always use powder to set my concealer so I didn't notice any drastic differences in crease settling between the two concealers. I did notice that Fake Up fades out a lot faster throughout the day though it initially gives a brighter look but is in no man's land by the end of the day.
I believe that Fake Up is great for people who like a natural look or minimal coverage. I most always prefer medium to heavy coverage, so I'm sad to say that Fake Up is not my newest, everyday concealer. Boi-ing is still hands down a staple in my everyday routine and I truly hope Benefit Cosmetics doesn't ever discontinue it. I'll also mention I was scared when Benefit Cosmetics released the "They're Real" mascara that they would discontinue the "Bad Gal" mascara, so I tweeted them to verify and they promptly tweeted back "No, that is not the case." Whew!! So hopefully the concealer growth direction is the same as the mascara (*fingers crossed).
"Bad Gal" mascara is one of my absolute favorite mascaras, along with Benefit Cosmetics "High Beam" & "Moon Beam", "Cupid's Bow" lip highlighter (Discontinued), "Georgia" powder (Discontinued and that was before I even lived in Atlanta. Now since I've lived in Georgia for fourteen years I'd rep it even more!) and "Posietint" lip stain. I also fell in love with the "Benetint" lip balm but that also has been discontinued. After writing that last sentence I just realized how many of my favorites have been discontinued, but Benefit Cosmetics is continually coming out with new products that are just as awesome, so I'm always excited to try their products. Honestly I've never tried any Benefit Cosmetics product that was absolutely horrible. There's been a few that didn't work for me, but the quality of their products is always excellent and their packaging is superior with much creativity and thought put into each package and product design.
Have you tried Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up, Boi-ing, Erase Paste or Play Stick concealers? I've tried all four with Boi-ing coming in first, Fake Up second, Erase Paste third followed by the Play Stick concealer. Which one worked best for you? Let me know your skin type too, as I always love to learn what products work best with what skin types, as my reviews are solely based on my combination skin type.
