In my June 2013 Birchbox I received three samples of hair products from Davines International Hair Care. I had never heard of this company before but I always love trying new haircare products. Below is a brief review from using the samples.

"Specifically formulated for harsh and frizzy, undisciplined hair. It gently cleanses hair, respecting its natural structure and making it easy to comb. LOVE Smoothing Shampoo moisturizes and nourishes deep down, leaving hair smooth, silky and shiny."

I absolutely love the cute little container this shampoo came in. The container is a light, squeezable plastic jar with a flip top and the shampoo itself has a thin/medium consistency. The shampoo has a very good scent, but it didn't bubble/sud up enough to my liking. I only used half of the jar, as I was trying to make it last for two applications, but in retrospect I should have used the whole sample. A girl at work got a sample in her Birchbox and absolutely LOVED it, as her hair is much shorter and has a thinner texture than mine. I ended up giving the remainder of my sample to her, as I figured she would get better use out of it. The cost is $43.00 for a one liter, which is totally out of my price range.

The conditioner is light pink with a thick consistency. The sample came in a pouch that wasn't nearly enough for my hair. I ended up using the whole sample, which was barely enough. It too smells really good and there definitely wasn't as many tangles in my hair when I went to brush it out. The only problem is I would go broke using this conditioner, as it is over $50.00 for a one liter, which currently I pay less than half of that for the same size of my current conditioner.

The last product in the trio was absolutely my favorite out of the three! First and foremost, I absolutely loved the scent. I applied a little bit once before blow drying my hair and once after curling my hair. I found that it worked best before blow drying and my hair was more manageable when curling it. When I applied it to dry hair after curling it, it slightly weighed it down a bit. I did notice after both applications that the next day when I went to wash my hair that it was much more soft and it also helped ease tangles. This product was definitely added to the "to buy" list.
