After being a beauty expert for this long, you would think that I would have my top five favorite foundations for an every occasion look, but in fact I don't.  I usually use MAC's Studio Fix but it's a bit too heavy for everyday wear. The only foundation I have ever loved is Temptu's S/B Formula for airbrush, but it is not applicable to everyday use or convenient to travel with.

After reading many reviews on the web and the Pretty in My Pocket app, YSL's "Le Teint Touche Éclat Illuminating Foundation" was rated one of the best. So I bit the $57.00 price bullet and went for it. Much to my disappointment this was one of my least favorite foundations ever. I thought maybe the first day I used too much, so the second day I used less with a finishing powder, third day I used even less and a different finishing powder, followed by the fourth day of using one dot, the least amount of foundation I have ever used. As you can see in the picture below the look is terrible and this was only five hours of wear time.

I could touch my face in any spot and leave a finger print. Normally my skin isn't too oily and it was the middle of February so my skin was actually on the dry side during this review. It reminds me of this girl I once saw out who had taken her sunglasses off to have exact prints in her makeup where the glasses touched her skin and then when she went to smooth those away, to leave streaks instead.  (#smh) I really wanted to love this foundation but after a week of testing it was returned back to Sephora. The coverage was opaque with layering capabilities and the color matched well, as I was able to get Color IQ Matched at Sephora.  The formula was much runner than I initially thought it would be and seemed to quickly find and settle its way into fine lines. What are you go to foundations?
