Nordstrom Beauty Event - NARS Master Make-up Class

Since I'm doing a NARS giveaway this month I decided to wait to do this post. Last month, I was invited the the Nordstrom NARS Beauty Event and Master Class. I was very excited to attend as I have used a few products from NARS but I'm not as familiar with all of their products as I would like to be. The master class was taught by Karon Fernander and assisted by Vania. The event was a private class in the back, catered with food and wine along with lots of NARS products for us to play with.

There was two other ladies in the class with me and when we got there Karon asked us if there was anything in particular that we would like to learn. We all agreed that it would be great for her to teach us a bold look using the NARS collection. The class ended up running over the time limit as we were having so much fun. I learned a lot about different NARS products, including how awesome their make-up remover is. The make-up remover is oil-free and contains hydrolonic acid, which helps keep moisture in the skin. I was also introduced to the Narcissist Palette which has a full range of eye shadow shades from neutrals to darks. I ended up purchasing a few products along with getting a lovely gift bag with a few products inside.

I was also introduced to the Final Cut Collection for Spring 2014. I was in love at first sight...it's a pink based collection, including several blushes, satin lip pencils and a beautiful illuminator. I love any pink make-up product so I could have purchased all of them but my wallet would have had a huge frown so luckily I refrained. This collection is limited edition, so I do highly suggest going and checking it out if you love pinks as much as I do. I'm most definitely going back to get the illuminator and probably at least one if not two of the blushes.

Since the event I have been using the NARS products and I'm most impressed with the NARS Illuminator, "Laguna". It is intended to give your legs and body a sun-kissed bronze but I decided to mix it in with my foundation. It gave my face a nice glow which I think will be great for summer time. I purchased the Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in "Via Veneto" which is the black liner without shimmer and is safe to use on tear lines. I assumed the pot liner would better for tear lines but Karon informed me that it is not approved for tear lines.

I also purchased the Radiant Creamy Concealer in "Vanilla". I was so excited to try it out that I totally forgot to take pictures...oops. It instantly became one of my favorite concealers! I've used it everyday since I purchased it and I absolutely love it. It applies easily and blends in flawlessly. The coverage is so great that on days I don't want to wear make-up I just apply a little bit of this concealer and powder along with some mascara and I'm ready to go. I did notice that if my skin is really dry it will make skin flakes stand out a bit so I just always make sure to apply plenty of moisturizer before using it.
