Last week a friend and I were driving in East Cobb discussing what we could eat for dinner, when I spotted a restaurant that I had never heard of, Baked. At first I assumed it was a bakery but after driving closer I could see that it was a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner along with catering services. My friend and I decided to give it a whirl and I'm so glad that we did. Not only was the interior decor calming and peaceful but the food was out of this world.
Baked's menu offers a variety of comfort foods that changes throughout the year depending on the season. I decided to try the Country Fried Steak with Mac n' Cheese and Mashed Potatoes & Gravy. There's a variety of sides to choose from but I can personally verify that both my sides and the steak are delicious! The gravy on the potatoes along with the sauce for the steak were both phenomenal, definitely homemade. None of that out of a can or powder packet crap! The portions are large too which for the price is an excellent value...you won't walk out of there feeling hungry! To see the current Fall Menu click here.
Baked is also kid friendly with a kid's menu along with a playroom in the corner of the restaurant. The playroom is filled with lots of toys and activities for kids to do while the adults are eating and enjoying a bottle of wine, which Baked is proud to offer boutique style wines that you won’t find in grocery store aisles. They are always happy to help recommend a bottle to pair with your menu selections or you have the option to purchase a bottle to take home with you if you find your new favorite wine that you can't do without. Lastly I thought it was strange that Baked only offered un-sweet tea until I found out that there is a bottle of simple syrup next to the pitcher so that I could sweeten my tea to my personal liking...brilliant!
Below you can see several pictures of the restaurant along with some menu items. Make sure to stop by Baked if you are in the area as I promise you will love the food. I wish I had saved room for dessert as their desserts look scrumptious, especially the "Dmo’s Chocolate Pie" but next time for sure. Baked is open Monday - Saturday from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm and they also offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Make sure to follow Baked on Facebook for their daily specials.
