I actually had never heard of theBalm before I started blogging, but quickly started reading wonderful reviews of their products from other bloggers. theBalm used to hold a daily twitter contest, where you would tweet a product you would like to win and they would choose a winner every day, Monday through Friday. I was lucky enough to be one of their daily winners and won a "Down Boy" blush last June. I instantly fell in love with this blush. It is the perfect pink shade and goes on smoothly and is completely build-able. Unfortunately after I hit the pan, it accidentally fell off my counter and shattered into a bunch of little pieces. I salvaged as much as I could and continued using it, but when I found out theBalm was having a 50% off site wide sale, to celebrate their new website launch, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase a new one, along with a few other items that I've been eyeing for a while.

First and foremost, I've been dying to try the Mary-Lou Manizer. I've heard how this powder is everyone's favorite and so it was the second product in my cart, after a new package of "Down Boy" blush.  I also decided to purchase the "Frat Boy" blush which is more of a peachy shade, but still has a pink hue to it. The other powders I purchased were some bronzers, including the "Betty-Lou Manizer" and the "Bahama Mama". The "Betty-Lou Manizer" has shimmer while the "Bahama Mama" does not and is a very dark brown color in the packaging. I was honestly intimidated when I first opened it up, but after swatching it, it doesn't go on as heavy or as dark as you would first imagine, but is build-able like their other powders.

With my order I received a sample of the "Apricot Skin Renewal Cream". I haven't tried it out but I'm anxious to, as I haven't tried anything but their powders. theBalm offers a variety of beauty products, including other cosmetics, skincare and nail products. Check out their website at www.theBalm.com or follow them on Twitter or Facebook.
