Back in February I was invited to an Intraceuticals event at Nordstrom Spa. I've only had a handful of facials in my life so I really didn't know what to expect, as it is an "oxygen" facial. Upon arriving I was greeted by several ladies from Intraceuticals and their PR firm. They had a table set up with their product boosters in a nice array with fruits and vegetables. (pictured below.)

I also had the fortunate opportunity to meet Gina Brooks, Madonna's make-up artist, who actually performed the facial on me, as she is one of their main brand ambassadors. She was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about the Intraceuticals line, as I asked one hundred and one questions about everything. The facial took about forty five minutes and it was truly amazing. I took so long to post the review as I wanted to go get another one, so I could film it for the review, but my budget has been extremely tight the past few months. But as soon as I have a little bit of money to splurge this facial is going to be the first thing I go and get. Not only is the facial pain-free and super relaxing, but my skin tone looked better than it has in years.

Gina asked me what my skin concerns were and explained that Intraceuticals offers several serum treatments that target specific problems. The serums include "rejuvenate", "opulence", "clarity" and "atoxelene". She helped me decide that the "rejuvenate" treatment would be best on me, as it hydrates, lifts and tightens skin. The "rejuvenate" serum contains Hyaluronic Acid, which is a hydrator and is found naturally in skin, but over time decreases. Other key ingredients in the "rejuvenate" serum are, aloe vera, green tea and vitamins A, C and E.
The "opulence" serum helps brighten, balance and smooth uneven and dull skin. The "atoxelene" serum helps smooth and soften the visible signs of aging. The last serum to choose from is the "clarity" serum which is great for anyone with acne or enlarged pores.

The serum is applied to your face with an oxygen machine (pictured above) and what looks to be something similar to an airbrush. The serum is sprayed onto the face at a very soothing psi, which gives a cooling effect. Honestly I could have sat there all day...it felt so relaxing. After I was finished, I received a bag full of the take home products, which includes three daily products along with four types of boosters. The boosters are also targeted serums to help specific concerns.

The first product in the three step daily was the "Rejuvenate Daily Serum". This can be used in the morning and at night. The second product was the "Rejuvenate Hydration Gel" followed by the "Rejuvenate Moisture Binding Cream". You can also mix a booster or boosters in with the "Rejuvenate Moisture Binding Cream".

After experimenting with the boosters, the Vitamin A booster is my favorite or I guess I should say my skin's favorite. It was also an Editor's Pick Honorable Mention in the Total Beauty : Anti-Aging Serum category this year. I find that I can see the most "improvement" when I use that particular booster, though they are all fabulous. The Vitamin A clarifies and refines the appearance of skin affected by sun damage, uneven texture, deep wrinkles and blemishes. The Vitamin C+3 booster strengthens, protects and supports heathy skin with 3 synergistic forms of Vitamin C. The Antioxidant booster revitalizes and balances full, stressed skin with antioxidants sourced from the Australian rainforest. And last but certainly not least the Collagen booster provides collagen messenger peptides to promote skin renewal and rejuvenation to help restore skin volume and elasticity.
I'm not much for changing my skincare routine, but I was so impressed with the facial treatment I couldn't wait to get home and start using the daily products. About twelve hours after getting my facial my face was almost dewy from being so moisturized. It looked and felt so good that I wish it could be that way everyday. The results from the facial lasted for several days but the daily products help prolong the effects as well as keep your face moisturized using the Hyaluronic Layering technique. There is definitely a noticeable difference in my skin since I've been using these products. More than anything my skin is brighter which means I don't have to mask it with so much makeup.
Though the price tag is a bit out of my budget, I will find a way to continue using the Intraceuticals skincare line and hopefully start doing a facial at least once every six weeks, as I always thought my skin looked awesome until I saw the results of Intraceuticals. The cost of the facial ranges depending on where you go. Here in Atlanta, Spa Sydell charges $120.00, the Nordstrom Spa charges $195.00 and I found an aesthetic spa that charges $150.00.
The skincare line price point ranges depending on what specific treatment you are looking for. The three step, "rejuvenate" that I received breaks down to, Step 1: $149.00, Step 2: $88.00 and Step 3: $69.00 with all the boosters costing $49.00 each. If you are unsure about splurging on the whole skincare line, I would first suggest booking an appointment to get an Intraceuticals Oxgyen facial and verify that it is Intraceuticals, as there are just oxygen facials, which are not the same technology. After you do that, I suggest purchasing at least one booster to mix in with your current moisturizer. Though you won't get the full effects of the Intraceuticals line, I can almost guarantee you will notice a difference in your skin.

I must also mention that Intraceuticals has the coolest business cards I have ever come across. I'm so proud of my own business cards, but when I discovered this little jewel in the bag, I was envious of their cards. It's an USB business card that contains documentation and press photos of their products. What an unique and convenient way to distribute information to consumers. Lastly, the packaging of the daily products is unique too. As you use the product the inside moves up, so you can determine the amount you have left, also eliminating excess product getting wasted in the bottom of a container!
