Skin Authority has probably written me off as they sent me several products to try last fall and I'm just now putting up the review post. But I can assure them I got some great use out of their products. I truly appreciate them being so patient with me, as I take pride in adhering to my normal timeline duration for the majority of product reviews, but this one is long over due. So with that said, let's get to the review...
The older I get the dryer my skin becomes. I remember making fun of my Mom when I was younger because she was always talking about her dry skin. I'd always tease her and ask if she got attacked by a swarm of mosquitos, as her dry skin would make her itchy. Well, lo and behold, I inherited her dry skin and the older I get the more itchy my skin becomes each winter. So when I opened up my goodie box from Skin Authority I was more than excited to be stocked full of moisterizer for this winter.
Not only did Skin Authority send me moisturizers, but a lot of their products have added bonuses for aging skin! Not that I have major aging skin concerns at the moment, but I'm starting to see little changes now since I'm in my 30s. I'm just scared one day I'm going to wake up and all the age spots and wrinkles caught up to me. It actually really hit me for the first time a few weeks ago, when I was looking at some old pictures and the first thing I thought was "Wow, my skin looked so good back then!" ....not that it's bad now, but for the first time I could really notice a difference.
The first product I tried from Skin Authority was the Ultra Rich Moisturizer. I fell in love instantly. It's a creamy lotion that glides on your face and absorbs like a dream. I started using this at night before I went to bed and I could tell in the morning that my face was a lot softer and my complexion was a bit brighter. I also loved using it on my hands, as my hands get the driest of any of my skin. It was a day and night difference from my crocodile hands to smooth, soft hands. It has a light citrus smell and does not have any artificial perfumes or fragrances added.
The second product I tried was the Moisturizing Lift Cream with SGF-4 Technology. I had no idea what SGF-4 Technology was, as it sounded scientific, so of course I went and did some research. Quoted from an interview:

There is also a video of Celeste Hilling, the CEO of Skin Authority explaining the exact science behind the SGF-4 Technology. Basically as we all know our skin gets damaged over time, from various factors and the SGF-4 Technology, which stands for Skin Growth Factor, "incorporates four completely natural body proteins which have been clinically proven to restore your body’s ability to generate new and healthy skin cells and strengthen its immune defense against further deterioration." Just by the look of Celeste Hilling's skin the video, you know this stuff is amazing.
I could definitely tell within minutes that my skin felt more plump, but since I don't have many fine lines or wrinkles, I decided to let my Mom try it out, as she and her friends always inquire about products that they would like. My Mom said she definitely noticed a difference, especially using it over a length of time that her skin looks more refreshed. I referred her to the video and told her to check out the science behind it. If you watch the video, it makes complete sense of how this technology helps skin. In the video, when Ms. Hilling shows the illustrated skin board it's sad and scary at the same time how depleted the skin cells can become over time.
The last product I was lucky enough to review was the Age Defying Moisturizer, SPF 18. This product is fabulous too, just like the other two! I found that I love using this moisturizer in the morning for day use, as it has the SPF in it. In my younger years, I didn't care about SPF but again the older I get, the more important these little things are becoming to me. This product is more lightweight in the texture than the Ultra Rich Moisturizer but still applies to skin like a dream. Like the Ultra Rich Moisturizer it has no added fragrances or perfumes, but does have the SPF protection against UVA and UVB sun exposure.
All in all, I love all three products from Skin Authority. The packaging is very clean and simple. I also love how the design isn't geared specifically towards women, as I had one of my guy friends tried to swipe it from me cause he wanted to test it out. But his mission failed, as I had already given the Moisturizing Lift Cream to my Mom and I was keeping the rest for myself. I have used the products very stingily, as the price point is a complete splurge for my budget. But keep in mind, doing scientific research, along with developing and producing innovative products isn't cheap, so in reality the price point is very reasonable compared to comparable competitor moisturizers.
