One thing I'm missing in my life is a "can't do without" regular, everyday foundation. I honestly haven't searched high and low and there's several I like but it's kinda like my mascara opinions...I have a few favorites but there's not one that I couldn't honestly do without. When I heard about GlamNatural Hydrating Foundation I was very intrigued as this foundation contains absolutely NO water, is made of only several ingredients and passes to qualify for the BodySafe Promise. You can see from the list below that the BodySafe promise means that this product must be:

With all those ingredients not in there, I'm sure what you are wondering what this foundation is made up of!? Well it's made up of the following ingredients:

• Berry Wax (Rhus Verniciflua Peel Wax)
• Grape Seed Oil (Vitis Vinifera)
• Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)
• Iron Oxides (Cl77491, 77492, 77499)
• Titanium dioxide (Cl 77891)

Upon receiving my package, I received two samples of the GlamNatural Hydrating Foundation, one in "Ivory 2" and another sample of "Beige 1". When I first saw the sample size, I thought, "Geez that's not going to last but for a few applications."  But much to my surprise I have now used the "Ivory 2" at least five times and still not even half way through the sample. Needless to say a tiny bit goes a long way. The application process is different than normal foundation, as you warm up the foundation with your fingers and pat it on your face before rubbing it in. The foundation gave my skin a nice glow, but if you apply too much it can get a bit oily throughout the day or leave that lovely finger print smudge on your face when you touch it. If you don't apply moisturizer and use the foundation as a moisturizer/foundation it works better for combination or oily skin. I'm obsessed with moisturizing my face, so it took me a few tests to figure that out.

"Ivory 2" was the perfect shade for me and it blended in nicely to my skin tone. I do wish this foundation had a bit more coverage as I always prefer more coverage over a more natural look, but that was easily fixed with a bit of concealer. It is a build-able foundation but only to a certain extent. This foundation also does not contain any SPF, so just wanted to make mention of that, as some ladies only swear by foundation with SPF in it. Then on the other hand, I know there are others that don't like SPF in their foundation as it can give you a "ghost face" in flash photography.

I received one sample packet of the Cream Blush and I haven't found the perfect opportunity to test it out yet, as I don't want to waste it. But as soon as I do I will post pictures on instagram and/or Pretty in My Pocket. I received the "Sun Kissed" shade, but they have four other shades to choose from as well.

The foundation is available in six different shades and is $65.00 for a fully recyclable, 1 ounce pump. Even though it's way more expensive than most foundations, I believe that it would last twice as long as normal foundations...if not longer. All in all I love the glow it gives me but I'm not completely sold on it being my favorite foundation ever. I do think it would be a dream foundation for anyone with extremely dry skin or flakey skin. The foundation does have a light scent but it doesn't carry over upon application.

In the package was a very cute promotional piece that I will quickly mention, since I'm obsessed with beauty promo materials. The piece was a folded card folder with a business card slot and four information cards, explaining the application process for the foundation and cream blush, a company background and the SafeBody Promise information. I learned that, "On average, women put over 350 chemicals on their skin daily." That's mind boggling and very scary at the same time. I love that GlamNatural is so dedicated to natural and safe products and I hope this inspires other company's to meet these high credentials for their own products. GlamNatural also has other cosmetics products in their line, including color correctors, concealers, lip gloss and finishing powder.
