HTML Lesson 02 - Live Links in Comments


Just wanted to do a quick HTML lesson today.  I always hate when someone leaves me an unclickable link in my comment box and I have to copy and paste it.  I find that, if you have a live link, people are more apt to click on it, which in turn will bring more traffic to your blog, from comments.  Below is the code to make your comment a live link.  Please make sure to make note of the warning below, as this code will not work if the characters stated below are not changed.

**** FOR HTML CODE:  ALL " [ " characters will need to be changed to " < "  and ALL " ] " will need to be changed to " > " when adding the codes to your comment.

    So I put the code on my page in the html widget and it works when you click on it... but when I do this...

    It doesn't show up as a link... what am I doing wrong lol

    Wait I think I got it lol. SO sweet :) but I had to go into the widget and copy and paste that link. Is there an easier way to do it then going into the html widget every time to copy that code onto the comment??

      I just keep a text file with all my codes in it. I have about 10 I use on a regular basis, between comments and posts.
